Quilts are like relationships. They get old and worn out. I made this quilt 18 years ago for my husband. It has holes and is threadbare. I've had to decide if I should keep it or throw it out. Really - we all make the same decisions in all of our relationships.

Thanks for the insight. I have a personal struggle with a family member right now. I really love his wife and his daughters but am not prepared to deal with his poisonous attitude. If I erect a boundary it will hurt the people in his family whom I love and enjoy. But I am finding myself out of fellowship with God frequently when I am around him. Please pray for a right decision.

Oh Amy. Such hard balance. Boundaries are powerful and therefore painful even when necessary. Absolutely praying for you as you figure out a solution. And praying for this man to grow too.
